Membership Year Change A significant change was made at the KASBO business meeting in Hutchinson regarding the membership year. The membership committee felt it would be better to have the membership year from April 1 through March 31 and encourage everyone to pay dues at convention time. This would permit membership from one convention to the next. The membership dues are $10 and members will be given discounts at the Fall and Winter Workshops. Find membership info below.

ASBO to meet in San Antonio

The Kansas Association of School Business Officials (KASBO) is an affiliate organization of the Association of School Business International (ASBO). This parent organization, ASBO, provides general overall leadership and assistance to all of the state affiliates. As KASBO tries to meet the needs of business officials in Kansas, ASBO tries to meet the needs of business officials all across the nation as well as many international affiliates.

The home hotel for the Kansas delegation at the ASBO Convention is the Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. All reservations are through your registration with ASBO but please signify that you want the Menger Hotel and that you are with the Kansas delegation. They have set aside a block of rooms for Kansans.

Our hospitality suite will be at the Menger and the breakfast on Monday morning October 19 is there, also. You need to RSVP for that breakfast to Craig Fiegel at cfiegel@usd497.k12.ks.us by September 20 so we have time to make reservations and finalize breakfast plans. It will be a great time on the River Walk and it's a great learning experience. If you've never been, this is a wonderful opportunity. It's not very far from home, mark your calendar and let's go to hot Texas and have a good time in San Antonio.
