Winter Workshop Report

The Winter Workshop held in Salina, February 17 & 18, was a productive meeting for the attendees. The sessions on Negotiations, Fixed Asset Inventory, Budget Terms, and Payroll Issues were presented by members that take time from their busy schedules to share their knowledge and expertise. Updates on Natural Gas Deregulation, Unemployment Claims and KPERS were well received and informative. The Health Insurance presentation by Terry Bernatis gave an in-depth look at school districts and how they might fit in the State insurance plan. A handout prepared by the In-service committee outlining the Convention Sectionals gave those in attendance a preview of topics that will be covered. The In-service committee of Alan Schuler, Myrna Morrison, Rod Dietz and Tim Rooney are to be commended for organizing the Winter Workshop.Back to top
